Local Company Receives Certification

Huntington, West Virginia - Engines, Inc., a Milton manufacturer, has been certified by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) to be listed on their Quality Assurance Registry. A manufacturer of structural steel freight rail car components, Engines, Inc. is the only
company in West Virginia to be ISM Quality Assurance Certified at this time. This certification was received by establishing an on-going quality systems approval process acceptable throughout the railroad industry, thus avoiding duplication that is wasteful for suppliers and railroads alike. The quality standards at Engines, Inc. were found to be consistent, objective and efficient on an on-going basis as determined by ISM auditors. Auditors for ISM are accredited by the Association of American Railroads, The American Society for Quality, the Registrar Accreditation Board and other internationally recognized certifying organizations. Engines, Inc. is headed by its President/owner, Carl Grover, also of Milton.
