Our Successes

With the loss of a major employer and the area unemployment rate hovering around 10%, the need to create an organization to market the area and attract new jobs was established. HADCO was born in 1992.
  • InfoCision Management Corporation located a call center in Huntington
  • Applied Card Systems opened a large credit card processing facility in Cabell County
  • Sitel Corporation, Millennium Teleservices, TeleSpectrum and Client Logic opened new call centers in downtown Huntington
  • Alcon Surgical constructed an additional facility to manufacture new products and expand employment by 150
  • Okuno International of Japan purchased the 50,000 square foot shell building at Prichard Industrial Park to manufacture hydraulic lift arms for forklifts employing 50
  • Peachtree Companies opened and expanded an East Coast window manufacturing facility in Huntington employing 550
  • Riverside Manufacturing opened a nationwide distribution facility in Wayne county for United Parcel Service
  • S&S Tire located a 150,000 square foot tire distribution facility in Huntington
  • Constellation Energy built a $90 million gas-fired peaking plant in Wayne County
  • Level One Fasteners relocated a fastener manufacturing facility from California to Huntington
  • Amazon.com located its East Coast Customer Service Center in Huntington employing 375
  • United Airlines/Mileage Plusconstructed a new frequent flyer redemption facility in Barboursville to employ 335
  • Alliance Research located a marketing research center in downtown Huntington employing 150
  • Medical Claims Assistance purchased a building downtown and expanded, employing 150
  • Marshall Hall of Fame Cafe opened in downtown Huntington employing 95
  • An Italian firm, Sogefi, will locate in the Prichard Industrial Park investing $27 Million and building a 215,000 square foot facility to employ 150
  • Star Technologies, a new company formed from Adel Fasteners, located in a new facility in Huntington employing 15
  • Portec leased additional land at the Huntington Industrial Center for expansion of its facility
  • American Foundation for the Blind opened a Research and Technology Center in Huntington
  • GC Services opened and expanded its inbound and outbound call center in Cabell County
